Re-Gen were engaged to deliver enhancements and upgrades to an existing three storey Adult Learning Centre at Brockley Rise. The works comprised of a new curtain wall cladded structural steel extension with a high-performance flat roof to the existing building that incorporated a new reception, refurbishment and expansion of the café area and the addition of a break-out space with bespoke joinery and IT / data solutions. The new services included the introduction of full air conditioning to the space.
In addition, with the inclusion of the new reception to the extension, there was a remodelling of the internals to provide new administration and teaching areas and a further accessible toilet facility.
External areas were resurfaced and enhanced with planters, other hard landscaping and seating.
Lewisham ALC has been offering services to adult students in the borough for many years and through our involvement in the scheme will be able to continue delivering much needed adult education services for many years to come and to more people.
